The press will always downplay such things as it is their job.
back in NUS, we had the black ribbon day protest against the fee
hikes and they also reported that they cant find anyone with the
black ribbon.
i wrote to the press to explain that the ST team chose to wait at
the canteen at 8am on an exam day, thats why there was no one in
the canteen for them to find. everyone was in the exam hall.
not only they selectively report, i think they also selective plan
how they 'gather' their facts.
